Hallo liebe Pangya Community,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about us; it brings us immense joy and motivation, as producing this type of content is not easy. It's not every day that we see a new map in production. We are working hard to bring high quality to our map, which will be very different compared to official maps. Thank you very much. E19

I'm glad to read that.

I really appreciate work like this, because it's truly not easy, but I find it fascinating how you managed to do it and add a whole map for it. E24

I have a few questions about your project so people here can better understand what’s behind it. ^^

These are my personal questions. You can answer them if you like – of course completely optional.
  • How did the name Desert Bones come about?
  • How many people are currently working on the map design and structure?
  • How long have you been working on it?
  • What progress or milestones have been achieved so far?
  • Did this project replace an old map, or are all existing maps still available?
  • How did the melody for Desert Bones come about?
  • How long is this project expected to take?
  • Have there been any map bugs so far?
  • Was there ever a moment where you or the team thought: "Wow, this is really exhausting"?
  • What is the main goal for this map?
  • Are there things you would like to tell the user?

[*]How did the name Desert Bones come about?
R:At the beginning of the project, we were discussing what the map's theme would be, until we found a package of 3D models ideal for use in Pangya. It would have trees, dinosaur bones, rocks, and many other interesting things. We thought this theme was cool, with good quality, and of course, it matched our game. So the main model would be the bones, with the beautiful textures that came with the models, which would be sand, really a desert. That's how the map's name came about, the environment (Desert), with the main 3D models of the map, which would be the bones.

[*]How many people are currently working on the map design and structure?
R:Currently it's just me and Eric, and we intend to continue as just the two of us to avoid the risk of leaks, etc.

[*]How long have you been working on it?
R: It’s kind of hard to tell you how long we’ve been working on this project because eantonio has been looking into the gbin issue for a while, and I was already helping him, but not as much as now because I was working on a Season 2 emulator, as I posted a few times on Discord. But I think he’s been nudging me to dedicate myself to this project for about a year, and only a month or two ago did I decide to take a break from Season 2 and focus on this new project, which is going very well.

[*]What progress or milestones have been achieved so far?
R:Currently, our progress is focused on finishing; we currently have holes 1, 2, 6, 10, and 17 completed.

[*]Did this project replace an old map, or are all existing maps still available?
R:The official maps will not be changed, removed, or rotated in any way; all maps will remain available for players to play.

[*]How did the melody for Desert Bones come about?
R:Regarding the background music tracks, an intelligent platform was used to save time in relation to the background music.

[*]How long is this project expected to take?
R:Regarding the forecast for a possible alpha or beta launch, we are racing against time to finalize it in the last quarter.

[*]Have there been any map bugs so far?
R:We encountered several bugs while assembling the holes, but we already know how to deal with them all, as it's something unofficial. We faced quite a few difficulties at the beginning, but nowadays it's safe to say we're well on our way to finishing our first map.

[*]Was there ever a moment where you or the team thought: "Wow, this is really exhausting"?
R:This type of situation hasn't happened yet. When we're tired, we play a little to unwind because staying focused on something is extremely stressful. With the limited resources and time we have, it presents a tremendous challenge.

[*]What is the main goal for this map?
R:Our goal is to bring new features to Pangya. The map is one of the exciting new additions, as we will be pioneers in this area, adding a brand new map built from scratch, breaking barriers and limitations of the game. We want players to enjoy the game with more maps available, because more options are always better.

[*]Are there things you would like to tell the user?
R:We're waiting patiently and we'll give a more accurate estimate eventually. I know everyone is eager to play a new map, even if it's not official, but we're working hard to finish it as soon as possible.
