Ich spiele immer auf dem Reborn Server. Spielst du auch dort oder auf einem anderen Server?

Hello everyone, I'd like to warmly welcome you here.

I mainly play Pangya Reborn. This server is the only stable private server I know, and I'm completely satisfied with it. I've even met up with some old friends from the German community.

Oh, and it's all good; English is allowed here too. I think I'll probably open an English section as well.

Thanks, I'm much better at english I also play on Reborn, though someday I'd like to try the other servers too, at least to see how many people are there.
I usually post on the Pangya Community forum, if it's not a problem for you I can crosspost all the posts here as well, the same as I do on Reddit's r/Pangya. This way we can share the same news to more players.
I have a couple of questions about this forum, I don't know if you have already talked about this elsewhere here... Is the old pangya.de domain now available, or is the current owner willing to let this new forum use it? I have seen on archive.org that the old forum was quite popular, has been any attempt to try to recover a dump of its database, to maybe have an archive of it available here?

It would definitely be possible to do that. I could create a separate English section if that works for you. However, the homepage itself has only been online for a few days so far.

Our goal is to reach both German and English players so that people from the old community can hopefully find each other again.

Of course, the old pangya.de domain does not belong to me. It belongs to a former Pangya player. I already contacted him by email after doing quite a bit of research about him.

Back then, pangya.de was very popular within the German Pangya community. I was active there myself when I was around 18 or 19 years old. At some point there were serious database issues and a lot of content was unfortunately lost.

Here is an original quote from a pangya.de blog post from Monday, December 20th, 2010:

"Due to a server error from Friday to Saturday, a table in the database was destroyed. When trying to restore the affected table it turned out that almost 50% of the postings were leading nowhere. At the moment there is a recovery request running with the hosting provider. If everything works out, the forum should be restored to the state of Monday, December 13th at the earliest. Until I receive further information the forum will remain closed, since any new posts would be deleted anyway.

After that, the website somehow became inactive. The domain itself still exists, but I cannot say for sure whether it is still owned by him.

I already sent him an email about my idea, but unfortunately I haven't received a response yet.

I also decided not to use any copies or database dumps from the old forum, because that could cause copyright issues. Instead, I built a completely new forum from scratch so that the community can hopefully come together again, especially within the German community.
